Welsh Product Lovers Set To Flock To Hay on Wye
Winter Food Arts and Crafts Festival 28 and 29 November 2009
Set with in a stone throw of the Hay Castle this impressive venue will
once again be a Food Arts and Crafts paradise when the Book capital of
the World holds its annual Winter Food Arts Crafts Festival
The fun starts at 10am on Saturday the 28 with the Official opening and finishes on Sunday the 29 at 4pm
Many of the companies taking part are True Taste Wales Food and Drink Award winners, and everything from cakes, breads and liqueurs to chocolate cheese and meat will be available to try and buy
The Welsh Assembly Government supported two-day festival will feature
stalls serving tempting dishes on Saturday there will be a producers Fayre
featuring over 35 food and drink companies
With a demonstration area where children can learn more about cooking
with local ingredients
On Sunday there is the Arts and Crafts Fayre featuring over 30 local companies selling everything from love spoons to paintings and locally made jewellery to locally made furniture accompanied by local Welsh Food Companies
There will be entertainment on both days from local Schools Town Bands Male Voice Choirs and all accompanied by Face Painters and Street Entertainers.
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the Hay Winter Food Arts
and Crafts Festival 2009.
This event is organised by Hay Town Council
One Stop Entertainment and the Hay Chamber of Commerce.
